CUBES MATERIAL SUCCESSFULLY PASSES THE AUTOCLAVE CYCLE

An autoclave can be imagined as a pressure cooker. A certain material is sealed gas-tight in a container and thermally treated in the overpressure area. Recently, we have extensively tested and qualified a newly developed high-density recipe in an autoclave. The new CUBES material with the density of 1.78Kg/l was exposed to a pressure of seven bar and a temperature of 55°C for 24 hours - the results are excellent. The new CUBES material is characterized above all by its good processability and is an optimal alternative to the more cost-intensive aluminium direct tools in fibre composite tool making.
